Where the Rhythm Breaks unfolds through a series of gestures, lines, and color masses that emerge and interrupt one another across an open ground. A dense central knot of darker tones gathers the surrounding movement, while sweeping marks and softer areas partially obscure and redirect it. Rather than resolving into a stable arrangement, the painting was deliberately stopped at a moment when rhythm begins to appear but is still disrupted, allowing tension and openness to remain active within the field.
