This painting took quite a few turns along the way. Some colours insisted on staying, others gradually disappeared, and a few unexpected combinations turned out to be the most interesting.
I thought several times that I had gone too far. Perhaps I had. But rather than starting over, I kept what surprised me and let the rest become part of the background.
