This painting is sold on loose canvas and is not ready to hang. To preserve the complete composition and its surrounding breathing space, it is intended to be framed by the buyer with the canvas edges visible. Framing is not included.

This intimate work emerged through a process of layering, removing and responding rather than following a predetermined image. Dense passages of colour gradually gathered into a central structure, while broad areas of lighter paint were left to create space around them. The painting explores the tension between accumulation and openness, allowing the composition to settle only when the different elements reached a fragile sense of equilibrium.

Created as part of my ongoing studio practice, this independent artwork reflects a process of layering, revision and decision-making in which each gesture responds to what came before.
