A dense accumulation of burgundy, green and near-black marks gathers toward one side of this horizontal painting, gradually dissolving into a quieter field of pale colour and fragmented traces. Smaller incidents extend the movement across the surface, creating a tension between concentration and dispersal. The work holds energy and stillness in an unresolved but carefully balanced relationship.
Created as part of my ongoing studio practice, this independent artwork reflects a process of layering, revision and decision-making in which each gesture responds to what came before.
