A dense accumulation of dark colour forms the centre of this painting, threaded with restless green lines and flashes of ochre, rust and orange. Around it, fainter marks remain scattered across the open paper, as though the activity continues beyond the main cluster.
The work developed through repeated layering, scraping and covering. Some gestures remain exposed while others are only partly visible, creating a surface that feels compressed but still in motion.
Created as part of my ongoing studio practice, this independent artwork reflects a process of layering, revision and decision-making in which each gesture responds to what came before.
