Dark green and black gestures gather among vivid passages of ochre, orange and magenta. Colour and movement travel through the composition in loosely connected incidents, while pale layers soften and partially conceal earlier activity. The work retains the openness and uncertainty of a surface whose final order was discovered through repeated revision.

Created as part of my ongoing studio practice, this independent artwork reflects a process of layering, revision and decision-making in which each gesture responds to what came before.
